SkyNeh - Skynet's Project for Quake/Nehahra


Aug.25 2001: I have started a new episode for the Quake-Nehahra mod. The start map is almost done (see screenshots). The first part will be in the industrial style also featured in the start map. I will use new levels with natural terrain, hellish and scary organostuff, and strongly enhanced and altered versions of my deathmatch maps. My plan is also to use many of the new Nehahra features, both for design and gameplay. Friendly monsters and evil humans will be in the game. There shall not be a long, difficult and boring start phase, but a good load of weapons and action from the beginning on.

The Stories:

I wrote two different background stories for this episode, and I am still not sure which one to take. In both plots, you get into bad trouble with your marine comrades and escape through a slipgate to the other world. This allows you to have humans as enemies in the game and (in parts) monsters as allies. Both stories are pretty sick - I think it makes it more interesting than just another "kill more Quake monsters" plot. The first story fits into the "Grapes of Madness"-theme and is therefore called "Grapes of Madness 2: Rampant Revenge". The other one is more a conspiracy thing, where you get dangerous knowledge - The Evil Elite. Please be aware that English is not my native language and give me a note when you discover important mistakes!
